Cancellation and Refund Policy

We understand that travel plans can change. Our cancellation and refund policy is designed to be fair to both our travelers and our operational partners who reserve equipment, staffing, and maritime or flight tickets in advance.

1. Standard Excursions

  • Cancellation More Than 48 Hours Before the Scheduled Departure Time: Eligible for a refund (minus any non-refundable processing fees, if applicable).
  • Cancellation Less Than 48 Hours Before the Scheduled Departure Time / No-Show: No refund will be issued under any circumstances.

2. Private Excursions & Flights (Non-Refundable Category)

  • Excursions Involving Flights: For any trips that require us to purchase flight tickets on your behalf (for example, the Hurghada to Cairo by Plane excursion), refunds are strictly not possible and non-refundable once the booking is made. This is due to the non-refundable and non-changeable policies enforced by the airlines.
  • Private Boat & Tailored Tours: Due to the exclusive vessel chartering, advanced scheduling of private crew, and upfront procurement of non-refundable maritime permits from Hurghada port authorities, private custom excursions are non-refundable once confirmed.

3. Special Weather Cancellations & Activity Credits (Luxor Hot Air Balloon)

  • Luxor Hot Air Balloon Activity: The sunrise hot air balloon ride in Luxor is highly dependent on wind speeds and strict safety protocols. These flights are regulated and coordinated entirely by the military and aviation authorities. Cancellations can occur at the very last minute, including on the morning of the flight, due to unfavorable weather conditions.
  • Compensation Policy: Because this factor is completely outside of our control, if the hot air balloon flight is canceled by the authorities due to weather or safety reasons, the rest of the Luxor excursion will proceed as planned. Affected guests will receive a fixed compensation/refund of €25 per person. No full refunds for the entire Luxor day-trip will be granted based on this activity’s cancellation.

4. Cancellation by SIA Egypt (Weather & Force Majeure)

  • Safety First: Your safety is our absolute priority. If a standard excursion or our private boat trip to Giftun Island is canceled entirely by SIA Egypt due to bad weather, coast guard restrictions, safety concerns, or unforeseen technical issues with our vessel, you will be offered an alternative date or a 100% full refund.
  • Note on Flights: In the event of flight-based excursion cancellations caused by airline scheduling changes or airport closures, refunds will be subject to the specific airline’s compensation policy.
